Our first Women's A Grade team -with a win in round 1 v

The Tea Tree Gully
District Cricket Club will be merging with the Northern Districts
Cricket Club (The Jets) for the 20011-12 cricket season and will
have a combined A and B Grade. Each club will still have
their own C Grade known as the Women's Powerade 20/20 Cup
The Women's Powerade T20 Cup
is for
for young girls (under 17) with 3 players allowed over 17,with
9-10 players per team. Played on turf wickets and
no previous experience is required. If the girls do not have their own
equipment the club can supply at no cost.

50 over "limited over" matches
(11-12 a side - 12 Rounds per season) and Twenty20 Competition (9-10 a
side - 7 Rounds per season)
1st match 8th October.
B Grade
- Twenty20 Competition (9-10 a
side - 10 Rounds per season) until Christmas and 40 over one day
match (11-12 a side - 10 Rounds per season). 1st
Match on 16th October
Women's
Powerade Twenty20 Cup
- Twenty20 Competition (9-10 a side-15
Rounds per season ) Restricted by a minimum of
six players under the age of 17.
Played on Sunday. 1st match 24th October

Our girls have preformed remarkably well since the
introduction of the Scorpion Shield team five seasons ago with the B
Grade team, in their first year, being runners-up in both the 1-day and
twenty/20 competitions and winning both these competitions in 2008/09 season.
In the 2009-10 season, the first
year in Women's A grade saw the girls finish in the final four.
Tamara Clapton and
Stephanie Morrison also representing SA in the State Scorpions team.
Tamara was the youngest player in Australia to play in the
Women's National Cricket League.
Tamara Clapton, Victoria Bach, and Brittany Perry represented SA in the Under 18 National carnival last year.
Victoria Bach
was rewarded with "ALL AUSTRALIAN" selection for her efforts in the
Australian Under 17 Female Championships held in Brisbane the previous
year.
Amanda Wellington, Samantha Betts and represented SA in the U15
national carnivals. Amanda Wellington
was rewarded with "ALL AUSTRALIAN" selection for her efforts in the Australian Under 15 Female Championships held in Melbourne
the previous year.

in the U13 National Championships.
